The Department of Surgery at Kirtipur Hospital is a dedicated and unified team of surgeons providing comprehensive care across General Surgery, Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgery and Urology. With a patient centered approach, we combine modern techniques with compassionate care to deliver safe, effective and high-quality treatment.
In General and GI Surgery, we perform a wide range of procedures ranging from common minimal invasive laparoscopic surgeries such as gallbladder (laparoscopic cholecystectomy), appendix (laparoscopic appendectomy) and advanced hernia repair to major surgeries for both benign and malignant conditions, including cancers of oesophagus, stomach, intestine and hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) system. We also carryout breast (benign and malignant) and endocrine surgeries and manage anorectal conditions such as piles, fissures and pilonidal sinus using both laser and conventional techniques. Inadditions, we perform minor procedures like excision of cyst, lipomas, ganglions and corns, and provide round-the-clock emergency and trauma surgical care.
Our Urology services cover both minimally invasive and open surgery. We routinely perform endourological procedures such as RIRS, URSL, PCNL and TURP along with advanced laparascopic surgeries including nephrectomy. We manage urological cancers of the kidney, bladder, ureter and prostate including TURBT and radical prostectomy. We also perform reconstructive and complex procedures such as hypospadias repair, urethral and ureteric reconstruction and urinary diversions including ileal conduits and other continent techniques. In addition, we routinely perform procedures such as circumcision, hydrocele and varicocele surgery. Our andrological services include the management of erectile dysfunction and male infertility including vassal reconstruction procedures.
