Kirtipur Hospital (Proposed Pushpalal Medical College and Teaching Hospital)
Kirtipur Hospital is a not-for-profit sharing institution run by public health concern trust (phect)-NEPAL in close coordination with Kirtipur Municipality. Though the hospital was formally established in 2006 with 15 beds capacity at the time of People’s Movement in Nepal, phect-NEPAL used to organize a community health development program (CHDP) under the Kathmandu Model Hospital (KMH) in the then Kirtipur Village Development Committee. Now, Kirtipur Hospital is running as a full-fledged one-hundred-bed hospital with various specialties services. phect-NEPAL has the vision to establish a 300-bed General Hospital with many specialty and super-specialty services. Burn and Plastic is one of the super-specialty services of KPH at present.
Being a not-for-profit hospital, it provides many charity and subsidized services, particularly for the benefit of the poor and vulnerable. The hospital also reaches to many communities to organize health activities in community in collaboration with local organizations
